Location
Kalamaki is a peaceful resort in the famous bay of Laganas. It is located just 7 km away from the town of Zakynthos (Zante).
The Kalamaki beach has a very fine sand and crystal-clear waters. The sandy beach is also a reproduction place for the famous Caretta sea turtle. Kalamaki, owing to this great beach, is a focal point to many tourists during the summer, and is one of the main resorts of the island.
Transportation
There is frequent bus service to the town of Zakynthos. You may also rent a car, a jeep, a motorbike or a bicycle. Additionally, there is a taxi station on the main road to Laganas.
Activities
There are many activities to participate in at Kalamaki. Horse riding, rides in traditional carriages, glass bottom boats for turtle observation and boat rental for lovely trips to nearby small islands or remote beaches – and that’s just a few of the activities available!

You will find a very comprehensive market at Kalamaki. There are money exchange agencies, bakeries, gift-shops, jewelries and leatherwear shops with local products.
